• Blackpool haulier Eric Valiance was horrified when he turned on his television set to see one of his own company's vehicles driving dangerously on a motorway.
But the managing director of EVTS has been unable to identify the driver featured in the Channel 4 documentary screened on Monday 13 February because programmemakers could not say on which day the incident was filmed.
In the Cutting Edge programme on dangerous driving an EVTS truck was shown tailgating a car on the M6 as one of many cases of poor driving on Britain's roads.
Valiance says: "Of course I take full responsibility for this, but it's frustrating when you can't do anything about it. I want to sack him." He has sent warning letters to all his drivers.
