TANKERS FOR TURKEY: Thirty normal. control tractive units with •A.E.C. AV690 engines, four-speed main gearboxes and twospeed auxiliary gearboxes are being supplied to the Selahattin Beyazit Transport Company by A.E.C., Ltd. They are to haul Taskers semi-trailers with locally manufactured tank bodies carrying 20-ton ldads of crude oil from wells at Dijarbakin in eastern Turkey to the refineries at Mersin .420 miles away. Special features include power-assisted steering, exhaust brakes and insulated all-steel cabs with lift-up sleeping bunks for the crew of two.

36-FOOTERS FOR DURHAM: Northern General Transport Co., Ltd., have ordered 19 A.E.C. Reliance 590 36ft.-Iong chassis and five A.E.C. Reliance 30-ft. models. The longer vehicles will be 53-seaters and are intended for stage service in the north-west Durham area.

FOR OXFORD: Eight more A.E.C. singledeckers are to be added to the fleet of City of Oxford Motor Services, Ltd. The latest order is for 36-ft.-long Reliance 470 chassis which will he used on stage carriage work as 53/54-seaters.

TWO FOR THE DAM: Taylor Woodrow (Sierra Leone), Ltd., will soon take delivery of two Scammell Mountaineer 4 x 4 dump trucks fitted with Telehoist tipping gear and bodywork. They will be operated on the Guma Valley Dam Project.

MORE FOR BULK MILK: A further order for tanker chassis has been placed with Albion Motors, Ltd., by the Milk Marketing Board. The order is for 20 Clydesdale CD21AN chassis worth over £40,000. The chassis will be fitted with 1.750-gal. tanks.

RANGERS FOR JAMAICA: Twelve A.E.C. Ranger single-decker bus chassis have been ordered by Reryson Agencies, Ltd., of Kingston, Jamaica, and an order for six has been placed by the Uganda Transport Co.

ON THE HUMBER: H.S.C. Transport, Ltd., Hull, have ordered six Leyland Cornet CS3.15R tractive units, and Two Counties Transport, Ltd., Grimsby, have ordered five Leyland Comet CS3.13R goods chassis.

COMETS ORDERED: Seven of the new four-wheel-drive Leyland Comet chassis have been ordered from Ashok Leyland, Ltd., by the Oil and Natural Gas Commission of Dehra Dun. They will be used as tractive units. Eight of the same model have also been ordered by the Rajasthan Underground Water Board of Jodphur for use on off-the-road work in areas where excavations for a canal system are in progress.

HOME AND ABROAD: Recent orders for Taskers semi-trailers include one for 75 10-tonners for B.R.S., one for twelve 12-tonners for the G.P.O. and one for five Twinside 15-tonners for Air Products, Ltd. Export orders include eleven 12-tonners for Mauritius and six 25-tonners for oilfield work in Libya.
