Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Parcels carrier Southern Express has commissioned a new fixed multi-deck semi-trailer built specially to carry low-weight palletised packages on its trunking services.

Made by Southfields, the 4.49m (14ft 9in) high Fleetloada curtainsider gives the Slough-based haulier up to 30% more cartying capacity than existing drawbar rigs.

The extra flooring with its galvanised steel framework provides two 1.35m high storages spaces over the neck while the main deck has a 2.36m high upper tier and a 1.01m compartment beneath it. This allows tall cage pallets to be stored over the main section with standard pallets under it.

Shallow packages are carried in the narrow space over the triaxle wheelboxes.

Two central roof supports give access along its 13.6m length for fork-lift loading; Southfields' Powermesh curtains having tensioners front and rear.

Southern Express's Overlander-based multidecker is pulled by a Mercedes 1834 tractive unit which is down-plated to 31 tonnes GCW.
