Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• At least 40 companies are waiting to join the Garage Equipment Association (GEA) when it becomes a limited company on 1 January. The limited status formalises the break from the SMMT after GEA members complained of rising subscriptions.

Some of the larger companies have had their subscriptions reduced but the majority will be unchanged.

Larger GEA members who remain with the SNIMT have benefited by getting two subscriptions for less than the price of one, says GEA secretary Alan Smith.
