• City: Link Transport has increased the size of its senior management expresS parcels management team.
Two senior executives, David Kennard and Bob Beattie, have been made associate directors of City Link Transport Holdings City Link-London operations director Peter Phillips now takes over as City Link-London managing director: ▪ Harry Rawlings, who
started 34 years ago as vehicle titter for dry cleaners Sketchley Services, has now become the company's distribution director. He is now responsible for Sketchley's 560 vehicles.
• The new finance director of Northern General Transport, based at Gateshead, is Trevor Shears. Re will strengthen Northern General's commercial position in preparation for deregulation and privatisation.
Shears has been the company's secretary and chief accountant since 1979, and before that he spent time as Secretary and accountant with East Yorkshire Motor Services.
IN Tom McQuade, martaging director of Provincial Bus is taking early retirement early next year after 40 years in the bus industry.
