Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A RELATIVELY small and independent British oil company has developed a new crankcase oil to the SF specification ratified in March by the American Petroleum Institute (API) and the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE).

Filtrate Ltd of Kidacre Street, Leeds, has developed this new oil, designated SHP Engine Oil, for extended drain periods in the 16,000 to 19,000km (10,000 to 12,000 mile) range.

It is claimed to reduce oxidation and wear and can be used for all petrol and light diesel applications.
