Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ARSON. MALICIOUS damage and forcible theft are on the increase with the number of crimes against businesses up by 10% year on year, according to the AXA Business Crime Index. It says there is a distinct growth in 'recessionary' crime, and theft of unattended plant has grown significantly.

While road transport firms may all have goods in transit insurance and vehicle insurance, it might be worth checking whether other significant areas of the business such as IT equipment is adequately covered. The focus on truck crime as an industry should not stop small haulage businesses being proactive about protecting themselves against office-based theft and criminal damage.
