Trans-Action treasurer Ron Wood, of Kent-based RW Haulage Services, says last Friday did produce a "major step forward" in the dispute as a new organisational committee was formed with proper funding. It has invited Chris Cain and northern hauliers to become members. The committee, which has Peter Knight, owner of Canterbury-based Les Knight Transport, as its chairman, currently has 21 members with bases from Dover to Aberdeen.
