A TWO-YEAR campaign by the West German Transport Workers' Union for an end to long-distance lorry drivers having to load and unload their own vehicles has met with some success.
The union was told by the country's Labour Minister that he was prepared to argue the union's case before the Transport Minister.
Both parties had previously said they were not prepared to consider a change in the regulations.
