Pandoro's success

PANDORO, part of the P&O Unit Loads company, is reporting a successful first year in operation on its routes to Larne and Dublin from Fleetwood.

During its first year the company has extended its depot and trailer marshalling facilities and is now offering a door-to-door service on the El Im ro-ro ferry-go-round.

Computer seminar

COMPUTERS were the subject of a seminar held in Ipswich recently at which Southern BRS managing director Mr Brian Hayward told delegates that computers could help in the distribution of goods over an area like East Anglia.

THE J. S. WOOD group of transport and shipping companies has won a new contract for carrying building materials and plant to Saudi Arabia.

The new deal is part of a £175m contract for materials to be used in the building of the new city of Jeddah which is to be built along garden city principles. It is estimated that 90 per cent of the materials will be supplied by British companies.

Edbro two

TWO new wholly owned subsidiaries have been formed by Edbro (Holdings) Ltd, the Bolton hydraulics and tipper builder.

Edbro (London) Ltd will become a separate profit centre of the company's long established branch at Hayes, Middx. Edbro Bodies Ltd hives off the tipper and truck bodybuilding division of Edbro Ltd, which will carry on as the hydraulics production company.
