MR. D. L. CLARKE, chairman of the Northern Ireland Road Transport Board since its inception, has, on medical advice, tendered his resignation to the Northern' Ireland Government, which has accepted it with regret. He was previously an assistant secretary of the Northern Ireland Ministry of Home Affairs.
MR. JOHN W. RUSK, a Bradford haulage contractor, who holds the rank of divisional superintendent in the Bradford Corps of the St. John Ambulance Brigade, has received the honour of appointment to be a Serving Brother of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem. He has been associated with the Bradford Corps for 30 years, and is a
member of the C.M.U.A. and the Road Transport Section of the Bradford Chamber of Trade.
COUNCILLOR ARNOLD GELDER, 3 Yorkshire tyre trader, has accepted an invitation from, Halifax Liberal Association to be Liberal canglidate for Halifax at the next Parliamentary general election.
