Stoneridge launches updated digital tacho

STONERIDGE B EATER known in the UK as Veeder-Root has launched an updated version of its SE5000 digital tacho that is designed to be easier and quicker to use.

'the 5E5000 allows data to be downloaded 10 times faster than previous versions and can interface with a tracking unit to allow remote download of driving data.

Drivers can either start driving or do their daily checks as soon as they put their card in the machine. The SE5000 automatically recognises the driver, and once. the driver has confirmed if they have done any work since the card was last inserted, the unit starts up. Manual entry of comments is also easier and can be previewed before being permanently written to the card.
