Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A Guildford driver who has one artificial leg has passed the rigid HGV test. Marc McFarlane had a leg amputated in 1995 as a result of a car accident seven years before. He passed first time with Driver Hire on 28 July.

Despite being told by doctors he would never walk again after his accident, which happened when he was only 17 years old, McFarlane continues to con found doctors and employers alike.

"I made a promise to the doctors that I would walk out of hospital 10 years ago which I did and I convinced Driver Hire to let me have a go at the HGV licence," says McFarlane who has been driving vans with Driver Hire for about two years.

McFarlane says he drives a normally set up HGV and has little problem with the leg when he is driving but does have some problems with unloading and loading, though.
