TRANSPORT 2000 and the Council for the Protection of Rural England (CPRE) have compiled a guide to public inquiries for objectors to new and improved trunk road schemes and motorways.
The guide covers how to make an objection and present a coherent case; the rights of objectors; how to spot weaknesses in the technical case for the road; how to promote an alternative route; and what happens after the inquiry ends.
