THE GREATER LONDON Coun has awarded up to £0.18m grants to London-based en. ronmental groups wishing improve transport conditio in London.
A grant of up to £51,000 h been made to the London AME ity and Transport Associati (LATA) to help set up an advi centre for planning problems London. Its objectives inclu setting up environmental are keeping down the amount of p vate transport on the roads, b ter control of commercial trar port and the improvement public transport.
The advice centre will all( individuals and organisations gain independent advice transport planning matters.
The service offered by LATA free and if it proves successi LATA will be applying next yi for a similar grant.
