LAST CHANCE TO BUY IN SCOTLAND THOSE who wish to buy vehicles

from British Road Services in Scotland were warned on Tuesday by Sir Malcolm Trustram Eve, chairman of the Road Haulage Disposal Board, that the special Scottish List (summarized in The Commercial Motor on October 1) contained nearly all the lorries remaining to be disposed of north of the border. Sir Malcolm said that he was anxious that nobody who might be interested should think that there would be further vehicles to come in any numbers.

"We have already offered some 1,300 vehicles in Scotland in the small man' lists, and the majority of them have found buyers," he said. "List 8, which will be published on November 3, will contain a number of small units. but they will be re-offers of vehicles from the 1.300 which were not sold on previous .offers. In the special Scottish List we have attempted to cater for those who may want to buy a larger ldt."
