One-stop shop" Britcom interational recently redesigned and etaunched its website; James Clark hecks it out.

Company: Britcom International Address: www.britoom.co.uk

OVERVIEW

Relaunched in mid-September 2007, the website of Market eighton-based Britcom now attracts three times as many visitors as before — and its not hard to see why From the clear, bold homepage, select a category: 'trucks', 'plant', 'parts' or '6ngineering'. To find a used vehicle, select 'trucks' then follow t e link for the 'truck search' tool. Choose a vehicle make and ody type from the drop-down menus.

If you would Ike to see the entire stock list, leave the fields lank and click 'search now'. At the time of writing, the site ontained the details of around 200 vehicles. If the thumbnail niage and brief description of any vehicle interest you, click n 'full details' to find out more, then 'make an enquiry'. The site also contains a 'plant equipment search' tool that orks in exactly the same way.

COMMENTS

Our only criticism of the Britcom site is that some of the vehicle descriptions are a little brief; however, you can always use the inine contact form to find out more. There isn't room here to go into all the features of the ebslte, but two we especially liked were the down loadable ompany brochure and the weekly newsletter. The brochure can be downloaded as a PDF; it outlines ritcom's services and includes a map to its Market Weighton ite. There is also a map link on the homepage.

You can also use the site to sign up for an e-mail newslett r tailored to your interests, whether they be generators and graders or tankers and tippers. Follow the 'register now' link.
