Mrs. Margaret Thatcher, the new "shadow" Transport Minister, automatically assumes the chairmanship of the Conservative transport committee. At the annual election of officers of the committee last week, Mr. Michael Heseltine, 35, MP for Tavistock, who is a magazine publisher, was appointed a joint vice-chairman.
