THE Air Ministry has now assumed the control of air traffic from Heston Airport. The area for which the Heston control is responsible abuts on to the London-Continent airway area, which is controlled from Croydon. Its boundary is a line joining Dieppe,
Newhaven, Dorking, Kingston, Abddge, Clacton, Bedford, Leicester, Newbury, Midhurst, Selsey Bill and Cap Barfleur.
Hitherto, the control has been provided by Airwork, Ltd., the company which owns Heston Airport. Mr. J. Jeffs, the Air Ministry expert on airtraffic control, who has for some years been the control officer at Croydon, has been temporarily posted to Heston.
