Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

When Bradshaw Stores, Ltd., Northampton, made a licence application to Mr, J. H. Stirk, East Midland Licensing Authority, it was stated that the object was to comply with requests for removals by extended payments. The company received up to five such applications each week and there were no contractors in Northampton who would do the work. Light Oil Engines for India.

United Motors (Coimbatore). Ltd., United Motors Buildings, Coimbatore, South India, wishes to develop the sale in India of suitable light oil engines. The main requirements for an export type are that the weight (without clutch and electrical equipment) should not exceed by mcire than 100 lb. that of the Bedford six-cylindered and Ford eight-cylindered engines. The engines may have three, four, five or six cylinders, with any satisfactory combustion system. The dimensions should be suitable for inclusion in the chassis mentioned in place of their own engines, and the starting-gear covers mast have an adaptation plate to take the Lucas. N.E., or Delco six-volt starters from E20 the old engines. There must be suitable arrangements in the flywheel and its housing to take the existing clutch shaft, etc. The engines should have steel liners and inserted valve seats.

The price with starter, but without electrical equipment, including duty, freight and delivery to customers in India, must be about 2100, or, with gearbox; 2.15 extra: We are afraid that this price will rule out most British makers, but it gives an idea of what is expected.
