I CAN'T UNDERSTAND how fuel prices can rise constantly and hardly anyone seems to be trying to do anything about it .

In the past few months, fuel has risen by more than 20% and rates, as far as l am concerned, have risen by about 5%.

How are we supposed to run, maintain, insure and tax our vehicles, pay wages, NI, let alone invest in newer equipment to satisfy low emission zone regs?

This industry was on its knees years ago as far as hauliers were concerned. The only people I can see who make any money are the big businesses hauling their own goods They can pass on rises directly to the public.

Isn't it time the government gave us some support? Why do we get treated like second-class citizens? This situation has caused me considerable debt and that is the only reason I try to keep going. I'd give up tomorrow if I could. Chris Cotes Cotes Transport Services
