Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

by Guy Sheppard • The director of a Somerset transport company which crashed earlier this month with debts of nearly £130,000 is running a new business called Ceramic Logistics.

A creditors' meeting heard that Auto European was the second company run by Paul Freeth-Selway which has gone into voluntary liquidation within the past seven years.

Barnstaple-based owner driver Roger Squire, who was owed £10,862 by Auto European, claimed after the meeting that Selway's latest business, also based in Taunton, is doing similar work to his previous company.

"He specialises in delivering bathroom tiles from Italy and Spain and is now sub-contracting the work," says Squire.

"It makes you sick that people can stop and start like this and walk away from over £100,000 work of debt," he adds. John Lewis of Bristol-based insolvency practice JW Lewis & Co, which liquidated Auto European, says his report to the Department of Trade and Industry could result in Sehvay facing disqualification proceedings.

Selway has declined to comment.

The main creditor of Auto European is HM Customs & Excise which is owed £32,853.
