desirable to establish uniform criteria And principles for the location, function And operating conditions for goods stations for road transport, so that a properly organized network of such stations can be set up. This is the 2:ssence of the answer which has been Oven to a Dutch .M.P.'s question on whether the Commission considered that road goods stations should be regarded is a Community matter.
The Commission pointed out that it has already held discussions on the subject and set up studies some two years Ago but although it plans tO press on with these, the whole transport programme is now far behind schedule. France is examining the possibility of ;uch road goods stations.
