• Services on the East Coast main line were thrown into further disarray last week when Railtrack cut off the power after a vehicle loaded with scrap meta{ touched overhead power lines. The flatbed was driving over a level crossing between Doncaster and Retford.
The incident delayed four train services just as the line was returning to normal after the Selby rail crash.
A spokeswoman for Railtrack says the incident is "under investigation".
