Tibbett & Britten is attempting to cut losses at its car transporter arm, Axial, by restructuring its major distribution contract with Forc. Talks scheduled to start after the August car buying peak will centre on changing pay agreements for Axial's 400 car transporter drivers and In May Tibbett & Britten issued a profits warning saying that Axial would break even in 1995. City transport analysts believe that Axial is losing up to El 5m in profit because of its problems with the Ford contract.
