U.K. Consumes More Oil: U.K. oil consumption totalled 13,774,167 tons in the first quarter of 1962-12.3% more than in the some period of last year—according to figures published by Petroleum Information Bureau. Consumption of Dery fuel advanced by 7.9% to 737,245 tons.

Middlesbrough Surplus: A net surplus of C13,912 for the year ended last March was reported at a meeting last week of the !Middlesbrough Transport Committee. The Borough Treasurer, Mr. J. D. Woodham, said this figure was achieved . despite increased costs of £23,000, made up mostly of increased wages, fuel costs and contributions to welfare and superannuation schemes.

Selling Licence Granted: As from July 1, Mann Egerton and Co., Lid., have been granted the exclusive selling licence of Great Britain for the Muller BEM 665 optical wheel alignment equipment. The licence was previously held by Triangle Products. I,td., who „relinquished it because of changes in their marketing programme. From July 1, the equipment will be known as the Mann 1.:gerton BEM 665 wheel alignment equipment.
