As a director of a small company which has recently had one of its vehicles stolen I was somewhat
dismayed to discover there was absolutely no provision in our insurance policy to cover us for the hire of a vehicle.
Our insurance company seemed to be astonished that we should expect to be able to hire another vehicle and for the insurer to meet the cost— indeed a member of its staff doubted that such cover existed.
I suppose it is our fault for not reading the small print, but as we are only a small family business we just cannot afford to be without this vehicle— especially now as we are very busy.
