Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Keywords : Nuneaton, Glad

Iwould like to say a word in response to the Sound Off article by Rob Davis (CV/8-14 July), but the word! had in mind is not one you would print.

Perhaps it would be better to take a positive view of his suggestions and with this in mind I would be glad to hear from any public transport operator who provides or is willing to provide a service from Nimeaton to Northampton and back every weekday. In the unlikely event of no one coming forward, I suppose I could walk to work—that should give me ample time to feel smug and self satisfied that lam doing my bit for the ecosystem.

And on the question of benefits to "locally based economies" lam not convinced that Nuneaton's coffee, tea and wine producing industries can provide for the increased consumption that all that walking will generate.

PS—Rob, glad to see you are wearing a shirt produced from what appears to be locally grown cotton.

Ian M Hayward,

Nuneaton, Works.
