Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Redpath Brothers of Wooler, Northumberland has withdrawn from general haulage to concentrate on the livestock sector.

The £2m-turnover company says it is more experienced in animal haulage. and Redpath family members wish to withdraw some capital from the business to concentrate on a farming enterprise.

The fleet has been reduced from 35 vehicles to 20 due to "company restructuring". At the beginning of the month Redpath acquired 14 vehicles with the business and goodwill of livestock haulier R and W Young of Yetholm; it sold 20 general haulage vehicles to Ferguson Transport of Blyth.

Redpath retained 10 drivers following the Ferguson sale and took 10 from Young, offering jobs to 14 of them.

Some £1.2m of Redpath's 12m turnover to the end of March was earned from livestock haulage: the company says it is too early to say how many of Young's customers it will retain.
