FODENS has turned a 1975 group loss of £1,023,886 in to a 1976 profit of £1,738,015 according to a preliminary statement from the company sent to the Stock Exchange last week.

The figures, released just a week after Rolls-Royce failed in its second bid to takeover the company, show that it will be retaining a profit of £830,000 this year against losses borne by the company of £1,418,730 last year.

A board meeting held last week decided to recommend a dividend of 10 per cent for the preference share holders and a 3.75p dividend for the holders of the 50p ordinary shares.
