NEWPORT (Gwent) bus undertaking is hoping to save C23,000-a-year from loan charges alone, by cutting the number of vehicles it operates.
A report to the public works committee said this could be achieved over the next few years — with no cuts in services — by extending the life of remaining vehicles.
There would be no staff reductions and there would be additional savings in insurance and licence fees.
