Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

FERRYMASTERS Ltd has been refused planning permission to build a £1/2 million depot on an Ipswich industrial estate.

The town's development control sub-committee felt that the depot would mean an increase in heavy vehicle movement across the town and a decision had not yet been reached regarding the proposed Ipswich by-pass.

Ferrymasters general manager Dr Michael Monaghan told CM: "Two-thirds of all our traffic already goes through Ipswich and, if we had been allowed to build this depot, it would have meant something in the order of six movements a day extra in each direction.

Dr Monaghan hopes the committee will reconsider their decision.
