Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AN ex-garage proprietor who was previously a

vehicle inspector for many years with one of the largest bulk liquid haulage companies in the UK has announced that he is setting up a vehicle-inspection service for goods vehicle operators.

The operator of this scheme is Mr. R. Debnam, of 18 Beach Road, Canvey Island, Essex (Tel: Canvey 2'758) who says that the scheme should cost approximately £12 per year when a vehicle is inspected on contract on a bi-monthly basis. Where travelling and lodging expenses are incurred these will be charged extra.

Mr. Debnam's experience in a large commercial fleet makes him well suited to organizing an inspection service according to the type of traffic and operations that a haulier's vehicle is being used on and although inspections by contract are his basic aim, single, "on spec" inspections will be undertaken. It is emphasized by Mr. Debnam that he is not trying to compete with the TRTA group scheme. But he feels sure that he can usefully supplement it and will welcome inquiries from any part of the UR. R.D.C.
