• Bodybuilder Island Plastics Industries has gone into receivership. The Cowes, Isle of Wight manufacturer of the specialised rear body fitted to the AA's Vauxhall Bravos was taken into receivership shortly before Christmas, although receiver Price Waterhouse is optimistic of an early buyer resuming [Production. AA fleet manager Steve Hunter describes the situation as sad but adds that the AA faces no immediate supply problems.
