Chy of London Experiment Starts: The experiment with (lashing amber light signals, first announced last September, started at three junctions in the City of London on Monday. Purpose of the experiment is to reduce delays at traffic signals in city streets during the night. Selected junctions are BarbicaniBeech Street Golden Lane;Redcross Street ;Old Broad Street.iWormwood Street/ London Wall: and Minoriesyortsok en Street,Crosswall. Between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. drivers on the main roads (Barbican, Beech Street, Old Broad Street, London Wall and the Minories) Will have no signals at these junctions and will be able to proceed without delay.
Butterfield Profits Up: W. P. Butterfield Ltd. group trading profits for the six months ended September 30 last were £150.312 compared with £132.248 for the corresponding period the year before. This increase of nearly 14 per cent is slightly more than the percentage increased in turnover for the
same period •
Duple Sales at Blackpool: Duple Group Sales Ltd. has opened a sales reception office at the Group's northern factory at Vicarage Lane, Blackpool. Mr, Chris Lane has been transferred from Hendon and will take over the responsibility for this new department. Marsham Tyre Co. Moves: The head office of Marsham Tyre Co. Ltd. was transferred on Monday from Jubilee House, Oxford Street, London, W.1, to Terriers House, Terriers, High Wycombe, Bucks (telephone. High Wycombe 26240), Nevi Neville Company: A new company— Neville Industries (Mansfield) Ltd.—has been formed to cover the manufacturing activities previously carried out by G. E. Neville and Son Ltd. The company will produce the Neville Tipper panelbody, heavy service dumper type bodywork and the Neville Van
and Trailvan. The A.L.C. " Bulker " Transporter will also be handled.
