APUBLIC hearing of an application by Rotherham Corporation for consent to run motorbuses over the Rotherham, Mexborough and Canisborough route has been adjourned until the borough boundary has been settled by arbitration.

The application, which was -reported in The Commercial Motor on November 27, followed the termination of a 26-year agreement between the corporation and the Mexborough and Swinton Traction Co., which provided for through running of trolleybuses on the route. The company have also applied to the Yorkshire Licensing Authority for permission to operate motorbuses on part of the route.
