A BULK wine tanker based on a Scammell straight-framed semitrailer chassis was recently supplied. to Vine Products, Ltd., Kingston-onThames, Surrey, by University Motors, Ltd., 7 Hertford Street, London, W.1. The tank, which has a capacity of 3,000 gallons in three compartments, is also of Scammell manufacture.

The compartments of the stainlesssteel elliptical tank are joined by plates of mild steel, and each has a manhole and outlet valve. I Hose is carried in containers on each side, and a walkway is fitted along the top of the tank on the near side. A Howard 2-in, pump, which has an output of 50-60 g.p.m., is used to discharge the wine.

a2 An opening windscreen is fitted in the cab of the Scammell I5-ton tractor, the six-speed gearbox of which incorporates a power take-off. Power is provided by a Gardner 6LW oil engine.
