A RRANGEMENTS have been made by 'British Oyerseas-Fairs, Ltd., to hold a British Trade Fair in Baghdad, Irak, from October 25-November 8. The site, which is about five-minutes walk from the heart of Baghdad, covers an area of lm. sq. ft. The area given over. to the Motor industry is 32,006sq, It.in: the maim the Fair will be in the open, but' covered sites will be made available.
open spaces will cost 8s. 6d. per sq. ft. and covered accommodation 15s. per sq. ft.
It is understood that the project has the support of the •Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, and that the response from the industry has been most encouraging.
As the site chosen was virtually a barren waste, all amenities have to be created, including a 750 kW. supply of electricity. The cost of laying out the Fair will be about £100,000.
