NORTHAMPTON'S GS Logistics is planning for expansion, thanks to contracts with NYK Logistics and Morrisons — it has bought a Euro-5 Volvo EH 520 6x2 tractor unit.
Owner Stuart Goodman explains: "I was interested in potential government incentives for early adopters of Euro-S. As it happens, the government hasn't gone ahead with those incentives yet. But I'll be running the Volvo for quite a while, so there's plenty of time for developments."
Goodman says he is driving the truck himself at the moment, but adds:"When I find a good driver to take on, I want to be able to point to the truck as an example of the kind of company we are."
