Trevor A. Smith is joining, as container sales executive, the York Trailer Co Ltd, from Harris and Graham (Shipping) Ltd where he was general manager of the container division.

L. J. Wright has been appointed coach hire manager and D. L. Hustings tours manager of Grey-Green Coaches Ltd, consequent upon the retirement at the end of this month of marketing manager J. M. Wilson.

Norman Croston has been appointed advertising' and exhibitions' manager, Ailsa Trucks Group. He was previously exhibitions' officer, responsible for the British Leyland truck and bus division's UK and overseas' exhibition programme. Peter Edmundson is appointed sales services manager from January 1. He was previously in the AEC publicity department, then plant publicity executive for Guy Motors and Daimler transport vehicles before becoming product public relations' officer for British Leyland's truck and bus division.

Hugh Davies, 43, has been appointed to the board of Unigate Ltd from January 1, when he will take over as chairman of Unigate's transport and engineering division and the Wincanton Garages and Transport Group from W. J. L. Latham who is retiring.
