R. C. Horsley, transport controller of the Rank Organisation. has taken up the additional post of distribution director of Rank Radio International, the company formed to bring together the RO manufacturing interests in radio, TV & hi-fi. His responsibilities will include the development of distribution policies at home and overseas.
Ken W. G. Potts has been appointed bus sales manager of Ailsa Bus Ltd, a new post. For the past 10 years he has been passenger vehicle sales executive with Mercedes-Benz (GB) Ltd and was formerly with Duron Brake Linings Ltd.
J. R. Vachon has been appointed marketing director of B and C (Harwich) Ltd, car collection agency and shipping specialist. Mr Vachon is chairman of the RHA car transporters' functional group and was formerly with Cartransport (BRS) Ltd.
D. H. N. Lingwood has been appointed a director of Appleyard (Glasgow) Ltd responsible for service and parts. W. A. N. Fraser becomes a director of Appleyard Gibbon Ltd responsible for all sales matters, and M. Twaddle is now retail sales director of Appleyard {G. & R.) Ltd. Mr Lingwood is a former area branch manager with Westfield Autocar; Mr Fraser was sales manager, Chrysler Distributors in Edinburgh, before joining Appleyard Gibbon Ltd in June this year; Mr Tweddle is a former sales director with Graham and Roberts.
P. T. Davies, 39, who joined Ferrymasters Ltd as financial accountant in 1971, has been appointed to a director and will be responsible for finance and administration. He was formerly financial director of Harris Road Services Ltd, a subsidiary of the Transport Develop

Trevor A. Smith is joining, as container sales executive, the York Trailer Co Ltd, from Harris and Graham (Shipping) Ltd where he was general manager of the container division.
L. J. Wright has been appointed coach hire manager and D. L. Hustings tours manager of Grey-Green Coaches Ltd, consequent upon the retirement at the end of this month of marketing manager J. M. Wilson.
Norman Croston has been appointed advertising' and exhibitions' manager, Ailsa Trucks Group. He was previously exhibitions' officer, responsible for the British Leyland truck and bus division's UK and overseas' exhibition programme. Peter Edmundson is appointed sales services manager from January 1. He was previously in the AEC publicity department, then plant publicity executive for Guy Motors and Daimler transport vehicles before becoming product public relations' officer for British Leyland's truck and bus division.
Hugh Davies, 43, has been appointed to the board of Unigate Ltd from January 1, when he will take over as chairman of Unigate's transport and engineering division and the Wincanton Garages and Transport Group from W. J. L. Latham who is retiring.
