• "If my drivers are involved in accidents would rather they be helpers than spectators," said Mr Reg Cooper, chairman and managing director of the Wednesburybased transport company, Coopers Road Services (1972) Ltd when he recently launched a new road safety scheme.
Believed to be a "first" for a privately mned transport firm, the scheme offers ;ourses in first-aid instruction for all .7,00pers' driving personnel. The courses, in be form of weekly two-hour lectures ;overing four weeks, are being conducted )y the Staffordshire branch of the British text Cross Society at Coopers' hq in iolyhead Road, Wednesbury. The directors >f the firm are paying the men who take part ind are meeting Red Cross expenses.
