THE winner of the 1975 CM Lorry Driver of the Year competition, at Brarricote on September 7, will receive the Michelin European Study Award in addition to other prizes. This year the winner will be taken to the Continent from September 25 to 28 and the Ford plant in Amsterdam will figure in the itinerary.

TRANSPORT 2000, the British pressure group, now has a contemporary in France—and they both intend to lobby against the EEC Commission's intention to liberalise the road freight industry (CM July 4) and require rail networks to pay their way.
