The payment covers shotblasting, repainting, and minor repairs but not replacing curtains. "If there's a small hole in the roof, then we'll patch it, but not if there's a huge tear," says UK sales manager Gerald Wavell.
Montracon believes that one advantage of Image is that an operator's refurbishment programme won't be killed off by potential budgetary controls because most of the work will already have been paid for. "Your fleet is kept smart, and you are likely to improve the life expectancy of each trailer," says Wavell.
