NOTHER link in the Hanson family's transport interests, which began in the days of stage coaches and flourished to an extensive road haulage fleet based in Huddersfield, was forged recently. Air Hanson Ltd., headed by James Hanson, had its first HS 125 7-passenger executive jet aircraft licensed for fly-anywhere hire-and-reward operations, the first aircraft of this type to get its commercial transport licence. I gather that the red and gold colours of the Hanson road haulage fleet may be used on the aircraft. A fleet of seven such aircraft, at a cost of more than 000,000 each, is planned. The aircraft will be leased to jet-age firms, just like taxis, on a single journey or annual charters. Gregory Air Services are to operate the Air Hanson fleet.
