DURING February 13,6 I 9 commercial vehicles valued at £7,620,100 were exported. The average weekly output for the month was 6.521, the total for the four-week period thus being 26,082.

Of these, 12,021 were for export and 14,061 for the home market. Goods vehicles, road-haulage tractors and special types totalled 25,145, of which 15,009 were under 15-cwt. carrying capacity, 5,089 from 15 cwt. to 3 tons, 3,496 over 3 tons and up to 6 tons, and 1,551 over 6 tons.

Passenger-vehicle output was 846, of which 698 were single-deck and 134 were double-deck motorbuses and 14 trolleybuses. There were 91 batteryelectrics made.

The value of commercial-vehicle exports for January and February was £15,773.413. The grand total, with the value of accessories at £16.841,416, was £32.614,829.
