Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

0-MORROW (Wednesday), at 10.30 a.m. His Majesty thedCing will declare the British Empire Exhibition open, and we have every confidence, from what, we have so far seen, that the .motor section will be practically complete, because the motor trade is well schooled in the art of placing exhibits in position in the short time of 12 hours, so that the state of the grouped collection of the trade at the moment of writing does not give us any concern.

It is probably correct to say that no ,exhibition pertaining to the motor vehiole industry has over been so comprehensive of the whole of that industry, because Olympia has never permitted the motorcar, motorcycle and commercial vehicle exhibits to be shown at one and the same time. The nearest. approach to completion has been the French Automobile Salons, but in recent years, even with the wonderful facilities offered by the Grand Patais and the vacant ground in its immediate vicinity-, it has been necessary for the Automobile. Club de France -to separate the motor show from the commercial motor show.

To deal with some of the outstanding exhibits on the coinmercial motor side at Wembley we give below a brief statement, of what every concern is showing. The Albion Motor Car Co., Ltd., will change .their exhibit from time to time, staging, in the first instance, a 24 h.p. four-cylinder Z-ton lorry with slatted sides, and a 3-ft. 6-in, model, in a show case, and one of the 6,000 3-ton lorries supplied to the Government during the war. One of the 30-cwt. War _Department subsidy models on giant pneumatic tyres will be displayed later.

The Bristol Tramways and. Carriage Co., Ltd., will shoW a 4-ton Bristol chassis in the polished state. H. G. Burford and Co., Ltd., will first exhibit a 24-ton standard chassis with aluminium alloy spoke wheels, and later, in all probability, a 30-cwt. chassis.

Dennis Bros., Ltd., will show a 2-24-ton chassis, and later a 20-25-cwt. chassis and one or other of their fire-engmes.

Foclens, Ltd., will show their 6-ton overtype steam wagon. John Fowler and Co. (Leeds), Ltd., will show a compound steam cable ploughing engine, a motor cable ploughing engine, an ae,rimotor and road-making plant.

Green and Sons, Ltd., will show motor lawn mowers, rollers, etc. Guy Motors, Ltd., will show a 21-ton abassis with an extended wheelbase, and later another specimen of their products. Idalley's Industrial Motors, Ltd., will interchange between an oil-tank wagon, a fire-engine and an omnibus. Karrier Motors, Ltd., will at different times show a 20-25cwt. chassis, a 2-ton lorry, a 20-seater bus, a 5-ton tipper, a 4-ton tank wagon and their patent road sweeper, sprinkler and collector.

Leyland, Motors, Ltd., will ehow the Trojan parcel-van and the standard 2-ton lorry.

Mann's Patent Steam Cart and Wagon Co:, Ltd., will show a 6-ton tipper, changing for another vehicle later.

Maudslay Motor Co., Ltd., will show a 7-ton platform lorry. Merryweather and Sons, Ltd., will show a motor turntable fire-esape ladder, a new " fire-suds " machine and a Hatfield trailer fire pump. Morris Motors, Ltd., will probably show a 10-ewt. van, and later the 1-ton truck.

Sentinel Waggon Works (1920), Ltd., will show at various times a tractor, a 5-ton three-way tipper, a 6-ton wagon and a patent trailer.

J. I. Thornyeroft and Co., Ltd., will show a Q-type tank wagon, and later will show another model.

Tilling-Stevens Motors, Ltd., will show a T56 chassis with forward steering. Unic Motors, Ltd., will show a standard Unic taxicab.

Vulcan Motor and Engineering Co., Ltd., will show a 26-passenger single-deck bus, changing to other types at later dates,

Yorkshire Patent Steam Wagon Co. will probably show a 7-ton steam wagon chassis, and later the -Yorkshire power farmer.

There will also be shown .a very comprehensive range of component parts, accessories and supplies by leading concerns in various branches of the" industry, and these, will certainly constitute a very interesting and valuable section of the exhibition.

We hope to be in a position to deal in full with the exhibits as set out for display in the first issue following the opening of the Exhibition, and, from time to time, we shall refer to them as changes are made on the different stands.
