EUROBRIDGE International Transport of Manchester has announced a new weekly container service from the UK to North Africa.

Shipments, in 20ft containers, will leave London to go to Assab, Masal, Djibouti, Mombasa and Dar-es-Salaam. A through-service to Nairobi is also offered.

All services will offer basic commodity rates on a weight measure or a lump sum basis per container. Embarcation from other UK ports is offered by prior arrangement only.

A further service to the ports of Singapore, Hong Kong, Bangkok, New Zealand and Australia will be initiated within the coming months.

Magirus Deutz

LATEST Magirus Deutz dealers to be appointed are Hanson (Trucks) Ltd of Great Harwood near Blackburn. Already they have sold a number of Magirus Deutz 232D 16FFS vehicles and taken orders for others.

Their most recent contract is for eight 232D 16FFS vehicles which have been sold to Elgin Transport. They were hand painted in Elgin livery before delivery to the Grampian company.

Correction

The address of Commercial Recovery in our feature "Keeping the wheels of recovery moving" (CM January 14) was incorrect. It should have read Commercial Recovery and Repairs Ltd, Ascot Road, iledfont, Middlesex.

Waste not ...

BIFFA Waste Services has bought 10 new Dodge 16-ton multi-bucket waste disposal vehicles for service at depots all over the UK.

The vehicles are equipped to handle skips ranging in size from six to 20 cubic yards, and have been bought to handle the increasing amount of waste being handled by the company.
