SI No 617-The Motor Vehicles (EC Type Approval) (Amendment) Regulations 1994-cif 31 March 1994 Makes amendments in consequence of three Commission Directives and corrects a minor drafting error.

SI No 638-The Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) (Amendment) Regulations 1994-cif 1 April 1994 Increases the fees for ordinary driving tests (cars etc) from £26 to £27.50 weekdays and from £36 to £37.50 evenings and weekends. Fees for categories A and P are also raised.

SI No 639-The Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) Large Goods and Passenger Carrying Vehicles) (Amendment) Regulations 1994-cif 1 April 1994 Increase fees for large goods and passenger carrying vehicle tests from £60 to £62 weekdays and from £77.50 to £80 for Saturdays.

SI No 669-Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road and Rail (Classification, Packaging and Labelling) Regulations 1994-cif 1 April 1994 New Regulations for the consignment of dangerous goods by road or rail replacing carriage provisions of the Chemicals (Hazardous Information and Packaging) Regulations 1993 (CHIP). Require UN specification packaging for most dangerous goods.

The Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) (Amendment) Regulations In cab height signs for vehicles over 3m; warning systems for vehicles with high level power operated equipment; notification to highway authorities of vehicle and loads operating above 4.88m. Still under discussion and awaiting implementation date.
