Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Is it time for a change at the FTA?

All this talk of feuding and fighting within the Labour Party as a result of uncertainty over the date of Tony Blair's departure has got CM wondering whether the same is true at the Freight Transport Association.

Chief executive Richard Turner has already announced he won't stand for re-election, as it were. and will step down next October. But we wonder if this will be soon enough for those within the FTA who want change now. There are those who might argue that Turner's continued presence in Tunbridge Wells is only likely to damage the party or.. association. With senior policy apparatchik James Two Brains' Hookham hotly tipped for the top job (particularly since his closest rival is no longer at the association), there are bound to be those demanding a swift transition so the business of government/advancing the industry's interests can continue unhindered, We at CM think the best way to decide who runs the association is to have some sort of gladiatorial battle, preferably featuring real weapons. The loser gets thrown to the RHA, sorry, lions.
