Six-month suspension for driver

A driver employed by Hughes Specialised Transport, who failed to stop for a liveried Vosa vehicle, has had his LGV driving licence suspended for six months by the Welsh Traffic Commissioner David Dixon.

Geraint Ephram's vehicle was followed by a marked Vasa vehicle with the strobe fights flashing but ignored it Ephram clamed to be unaware it was a Vosa vehicle (CM 24 August).

An investigation led to Ephraim being fined 2500 with £200 costs for six offences of falsifying tachograph records, two of failing to use a tachograph, five of exceeding the daily driving limit and five of taking insufficient daily rest.
